DONATIONS

There are two Donation buttons on our front page.

First off: New Orleans:

The Lower 9th Ward Village is a nonprofit community center with a strong emphasis on bringing different generations together for the mutual benefit of every participant.

Plans are underway to create a production size kitchen to teach cooking skills and to self-support through catering. Also a computer facility is integrated into the design of the center to provide a place to access the wonderful world wide web and buff up on computer skills, which are really great to have in this day and age.

I have met the visionary and director of this nonprofit and I am a fan. I like his style and dedication and I’m charmed by the mission.

Check out their basic looking website here.

The Second Button: Buy us gas.

This is fairly self-explanatory. These days gas cost is rising. With the 31 locks and dams in the path of the mighty Mississippi the water only flows at 1-3 miles per hour;
At this rate Huck Finn would have quit from boredom before reaching his destination. We certainly don’t want to bore you by filming the same 18 miles or so for 80 days. So if you donate to us we’ll get moving and check out the next great adventure in our path and make a film about it.

    Sure, I’ll buy you some gas. Hmm, is $0.40 enough??
